Panagiotis Halvatsiotis graduated from the Medical School of the National University of Athens and, with a scholarship from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, The State University of New York (SUNY), USA, he attended part of his studies as a visiting student. He prepared his doctoral thesis with a scholarship from the "Alexander Onassis" Foundation, served as a rural doctor at the Proussos clinic in Evrytania and received the title of specialist Pathologist in 1997. He completed, with a European Grant, a Fellowship in the Endocrinology Clinic at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota, USA and in 2000 he received the certificate from the Ministry of Health for the possibility of being appointed as Manager of an External Diabetes Clinic. In 2019, he was awarded the title of Diabetologist. In 2002, he was elected Lecturer at the Medical School of the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens and in November 2022, he was elected to the rank of Associate Professor of Pathology-Diabetes.
