Chrysovalantou Chatzidimitriou graduated from the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics at Democritus University of Thrace in 2004. She subsequently entered the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, from which she graduated with honors ("Excellent") in 2010. She then served at the Multidisciplinary Regional Health Center of the Island of Megisti (Kastelorizo, Greece) as part of the Rural Service. From 2012 to 2015, she undertook her residency in Internal Medicine at Evangelisches Krankenhaus Mulheim in Germany. She continued her specialty training in Internal Medicine at the General Hospital of Nikaia "Agios Panteleimon" until 2017. In 2017, she began her specialization in Hematology at the Hematology Department and Bone Marrow Transplant Unit of the University of Athens at the "Laiko" General Hospital. She obtained her specialization title in Hematology in 2021, and in 2022, she passed the European Hematology Examination (EHA Exam). Dr. Chatzidimitriou worked as a Consultant Hematologist in the Hematology Department at the "Laiko" General Hospital until 2024. In September of the same year, she joined our clinic as a Specialist in the Stem Cell Transplantation Unit. She holds a Master' s degree and is currently a PhD candidate at the University of Athens, with her research focusing on circulating exosomes in patients with Hodgkin lymphoma. She has been a visiting researcher at the Karolinska Institute in Sweden (Lymphoma & Leukemia Research Group). Her clinical and research interests are centered on lymphoid and myeloid malignancies.
