Thomopoulos is a Hematologist, Assistant Curator in the Hematology Unit of the 2nd Preparatory Department of Internal Medicine, Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens at ATTIKON University Hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He graduated from the Medical School of the University of Athens in 2012. From 2015 to 2017, he completed his training in Internal Medicine at the Clinic of Pathophysiology of the \"Laikon\" General Hospital and then trained in the specialty of Hematology at the Hematology Unit of the 2nd Preparatory Pathology Clinic of the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens at the ATTIKON University Hospital, from where he received the specialty title of Hematology in 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From 2013 to 2015, he worked as a research associate at the Laboratory of Hygiene, Epidemiology and Medical Statistics of the University of Athens in the field of epidemiology and prognosis of pediatric malignancies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">His research interests include molecular mechanisms as well as prognostic biomarkers in myeloid and lymphoid neoplasms. He has 35 publications in international scientific journals with more than 800 citations in the international
