From 1987 to 1991 she specialized in Hematology at the Department of Hematology at Evangelismos Hospital. She received the title of Specialist in Hematology in 1991 and from January 1993 to April 1995 she worked as a Clinical Researcher in the Oncology Department of St. Bartholomew\u2019s Hospital in London with a scholarship received from the Imperial Cancer Research Fund (ICRF).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>In July 1995, she received the title of Doctor of Medicine from the Medical School of the National University of Athens with a grade of \"Excellent\". From May 1996 to October 2003, she worked as a Hematology Consultant for the National Health System, at the General Hospital of the \"Evangelismos\" Hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>From 2003 to the present, she has been serving in the Hematology Unit of the University General Hospital \"Attikon\", following the relocation of the Department of Hematology. In March 2006, she was elected, Lecturer in Hematology at the University of Athens and subsequently advanced to the rank of Assistant Professor in 2010, Associate Professor in 2016 and Professor in 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>Her administrative and organizational work is particularly important with her active participation in the development and implementation of a Quality Management System in accordance with the requirements of ELOT EN ISO 9001:2015, which concerns all areas of operation of the Hematology Unit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>Her scientific work is particularly important with &gt;170 publications in the International Bibliography, supervision of &gt;20 doctoral theses, and participation as Principal Investigator in 55 Clinical Studies and as a researcher in &gt;15 funded research programs by both domestic and international societies. She is a regular member of the European Hematology Society and the Hellenic Hematology Society. She has served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Hematology Society from 2018 to 2022 and since 2018 has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Hematology Society Foundation. She has been a member of the Steering Committee of the Department of Myelodysplastic Syndromes and Myeloid Deficiency Syndromes of the Hellenic Hematology Society for many
