He holds a PhD from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens with a grade of \"Excellent\". He was trained in advanced endoscopic techniques (ERCP, EUS, bariatric endoscopy) at Erasme University Hospital in Brussels, Belgium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">His scientific and academic work focuses mainly on endoscopy and a part of it can be found at <a href=\"https:\/\/scholar.google.com\/citations?user=zOTjlS4AAAAJ&amp;hl=el\">https:\/\/scholar.google.com\/citations?user=zOTjlS4AAAAJ&amp;hl=el<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He is a member of the Editorial Board of four international journals and reviewer of more than twenty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He is member of the Educational and Guideline Committee of the European Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ESGE) and he leads the Quality Improvement in ERCP, ESGE Working
